Why is KBNZ-CBS still running KOIN's local news?

KBNZ will continue to partner with KOIN for local news. We believe that the regional appeal of KOIN's local news serves Central Oregon's interests for news outside of the immediate area but well within the NW. Keep checking back on KBNZTV.com for programming changes and updates.

Why is KOIN’s Local News coverage reduced on KBNZ?

Zolo Media recently made the decision to limit carriage of KOIN Local News in the traditional news time periods. While we recognize the value and importance of providing Central Oregonians with regional news and weather, we also endeavor to provide local content of interest to KBNZ viewers. Making the change at this time allows for that development in the future. As such, effective September 1, 2011 KBNZ will telecast KOIN Local News at:

• M-F, 5a and 6a

• M-F, Noon

• M-F, 5p

• M-Sun, 11p

This decision will result in the elimination of the 5:30p and 6:00p KOIN Local News. The CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley will follow the 5:00pm KOIN Local News telecast.
